LIXIL Corporation (hereinafter referred to as LIXIL) has been honored with the highest award in the “Circularity” category at the Reuters Global Sustainability Awards 2026¹. This award highly recognizes LIXIL’s achievements in promoting material circularity through innovative recycling technologies.
In this category, LIXIL received high acclaim for its efforts to apply advanced resource recycling technologies toward building a circular society.
Our company is promoting the circular use of resources and building a sustainable foundation through the development of “PremiAL”—a circular low-carbon aluminum product that has earned the “SuMPO EPD” eco-label from an independent organization—and “revia”, a circular material combining waste plastic and waste wood, which were previously considered difficult to recycle.
“PremiAL R100”, made from 100% recycled aluminum, helps reduce CO2 emissions during manufacturing by approximately 80% compared to using primary aluminum alone, directly cutting CO₂ emissions from the manufacturing of building materials to the dismantling and disposal of buildings. Meanwhile, revia promotes resource circularity by reusing waste plastics that were previously incinerated.
※ PremiAL is manufactured at our plant in Vietnam. revia is imported from Japan.
Mr. Satoshi Yoshida, Executive Officer and Head of LIXIL Housing Technology (LHT), shared:
« We are deeply honored and proud to receive this prestigious award. Winning in both categories is proof that our challenge to ‘make circular materials the new industry standard’ has been recognized globally. To accelerate the expansion of our global housing materials business, we established ‘LHT Global’ to serve as the joint management organization. To achieve this global growth, driving innovations that bring positive social impact is a core element. We will expand circular materials like PremiAL and revia not only in Japan but also across Asia and other regions worldwide, thereby reducing reliance on natural resources and driving innovation toward a circular society. »
As a member of the LIXIL Group, LIXIL VINA is extremely proud of this award. We will continue to introduce the group’s efforts in developing low-carbon materials and promoting resource circularity to our customers, partners, and the community in Vietnam.
